Abstract

The Blind Learning Center in Medan is designed to create an inclusive educational environment for visually impaired students. Symbolic architecture principles are applied to support independence and comfort. The design process involved literature review, case studies, and user needs analysis. Key elements include tactile pathways, adaptive lighting, and assistive technologies such as screen readers and digital Braille. A multisensory approach with sound and texture aids navigation. The results show improved learning experiences and student independence. This project is expected to serve as a model for inclusive education in Indonesia. Implementing accessibility and sustainability-focused design ensures long-term impact on inclusive educational facilities
